The Golfer’s Architecture

Jack  Nicklaus, the Golden Bear of the Golf course. The 77 years old, retired Golfer has outshined existing contemporaries in the art of designing Golf courses. Although designing Golf courses became his vocation only when playing Golf no more remained an option. Yet the interest was nourished by course architect Pete Dyne. The Golf Club of Columbus, Ohio was the stepping stone for this legendary Golfer in the world of golf course designing. Nicklaus provided his assistance to Dyne while designing this golf Course.  The team of Jack And Peter had also harbored the design of The Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island. The second joint venture of the duo still remains to be one amongst the top 100 courses in the world.
After being well established in this profession of golf course architecture he now owns the Nicklaus golf course designing firm composed of  a team of the world’s most accomplished golf course design associates, agronomists, industry consultants and experts in golf course construction and experts in golf course designing and marketing. The Jack Nicklaus company along with its associates has 415 courses open for play in 45 countries, Jack Nicklaus has been involved in the design of 300 courses. Not less than 150 Nicklaus designed golf courses have hoisted almost all major professional golf tournament worldwide like PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions, The LPGA Tour and others.
His magnificence as a golf course designer is known world-wide and his designs have been ranked as the finest golf courses by major industry publications like “Golf Digest, Golf Week, GOLF Magazine, Travel & Leisure Golf etc.” 
Jack has been bestowed with every title present for course design and development. The Golf Magazine had recognized Jack Nicklaus as the Architect of the Year in January 2015.
The Gold Inc. ranked the Golfer as the “Most Powerful Person in Golf for four consecutive years, (2004-2007)
Nicklaus Design has currently more than 57 golf courses under development across 19 countries.
In the Asia Pacific region Nicklaus Design has 104 courses open for play, and has 30 courses open for play in China and 10 others are under development. Golf Digest had also gave him the title of world’s leading active designer.
The Jack Nicklaus design should be acknowledged  for the upliftment of the standard of golf courses and his name has build up a trademark in the golf industry and enhanced the value of quality golf courses tremendously.
