Copperhead Course, Florida, 11th March 2018:LEADER BOARD: Paul Casey (-10), Tiger Woods (-9), Patrick Reed (-9), Sergio Gracia (-8)

Overthrowing the stale leader board with Corey Conners leading the Valspar championship, England’s Paul Casey, after what seemed to be the longest wait of 80 minutes, wins the Valspar championship with his name on the top of the leader board with 10-under for 72 strokes.

Tiger Woods entered the final round mustering two birdies and one bogey and what cannot go unmentioned is the mind-blowing  44-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole but that did not turn out to be enough to beat P. Casey who shot a six-under 65 in the fourth round and therefore earned the crown of the 2018 championship.

While Casey started the final round five shots behind but intensified the game with three straight birdies taking lead and closed the final round at 10-under 274, Tiger left with a long reach to the final 18th hole couldn’t replicate the magic of the 17th hole birdie and therefore ties for the second position with Patrick Reed.

Woods and Reed got narrowly beaten by Casey by one stroke each and he took the trophy home as his first victory after 2009 Shell Houston Open.
